frozen generation (street jelly, may 13, 2013, attic)

Frozen (poem by audrey chai gang)
  (em-am-c-g)
Frozen young men on ice without fire
Have taken over our world
We knowing no better have become cold also
The frozen generation

Afraid of themselves and each other
Have glass eyes, Battery run steel hearts
And hands that reach out and clasp
Auto-magically,  Professional Removalists

We are the frozen generation

Artists at escape,  Endure no pain
Know how to shut off,  And how to turn on
Such are the tools used for survival
We, the frozen generation

We are the frozen generation

Have numbed our brains into lethal corrosion
We are robots trained to turn on
Thru music, smoking, doping, and off each other
Water does not come from glass eyes

We are the frozen generation

Emotion cannot exist in steel
Automation has no warmth, I am ice also
When my ice melts I am in pain
Need help from others whose ice is melting

We are the frozen generation
