God, don't be mad

Oh, God be praised
Hail
Lord is raised
low down down come the rains
rocks and triggers
scissors in the way

wake up
there's a fire
and here is life again
oh sweet life again
life it spins
another chance
into the glory of God
deep into the water

if i fell into my life again
will my life it spins
into the morning
and if i fell into my life again
and i am born again
this time i wake up
i'll be soaring

God don't be mad
i promise we are all coming back
your audience is strong
the lobby it is boring
nothing going on out there
expensive watered down beer

if i fell into my life again
will my life it spins
into the morning
and if i fell into my life again
and i am born again
this time i wake up
i'll be soaring

blow out the candles

don't be the martyr that i sing in this tune
who plays out the clown and plays the buffon
changing my skin as the sky changes blue
silly old scales that are timeless and used

plastic sane porters and looking glass shoes
she wears on her hair fine lights from the moon
kneel on the saddle and ride towards the womb
each one elected, selected for grooms

eyes that seek something, that seek out the wind
and troubles the company out of the sin
lonely and helpless we'll see you again
simple and twisted my silly old friend

checking and changing our way to the front
won't give it on over and won't give it up
not for the money laid down to the ground
not for the blood that's been shed all around

i can't spell it, the thought they aren't mine
my faces they flinch at the portraits in time
verily keeping both eyes to the moon
waxing and waning on diamonds like you

and i wish i could take it all on at one

blow out the candles
blow out the candles
by mid-july, no reason to try
winds will blow it all out to sea

blow out the candles
blow out the candles
middle december
always remember
the dangerous changes
blowing back to me

curtains are slapping the oiled wood
signal the end of the show
a sould re-arranged
the drawing and painting
that hang on the museum walls

nothing can train one for this kind of thing
a fright beyond all that we know
it whispers and sneers, and interferes
with our movement our ebb and our flow

and i wish i could take it all on at one

blow out the candles
blow out the candles
by mid-july, no reason to try
winds will blow it all out to sea

blow out the candles
blow out the candles
middle december
always remember
the dangerous changes
blowing back to me

christina's world

christina's world

striking a match alive
closing the gaps inside
she breaks a holy silence
she thinks that it's physical
or maybe electrical
magic got nothing on science

she has seen both of us
compact and dangerous
each drop in the bucket endured
she's always near to us
uncommonly dear to us
the line of affection are blurred

cristina has clear eyes
and with her clear eyes
she sees vacant hands denied
the weak and weary wine

cristina's gotta clean up
pull a rabbit from a rusty cup
she has magic enough
for both sides

she brushed her hand away
on the side of his face
thinking tomorrow was today
but he's just a roustabout
boy's feet ain't on the ground
eclipsing her joy and sorrow

she leans into him just a bit
a cheekbone, a pale eyelid
the girl is a manhatten stunner
she thinks a few bones just might
floating on the river at night
completing a fabulous summer

aesop says

endless day, black as cain
i ain't ever able
the lights went out, choked him to the ground
that followed the fable

but Aesop says, 'we've all been left for dead'
the horse has left the stable
Aesop fed his children bitter bread
scraps upon the table

the first wise man rides his horse upon the land
and eyes it with compassion
and the next wise man, with a fancy caravan
the latest country fashion

cain unstuck, a comic suction cup
miraculous shit happens
an octopus that bleeds into the rough
with adam ever rapping

shades of gray, recede into the day
as cain recites to abel
the final verse and chapter to the play
a never ending fable

but Aesop says, 'we've all been left for dead'
the horse has left the stable
Aesop fed his children bitter bread
scraps upon the table

a third wise man rides far into the sand
they don't like his attitude
a fourth wise man pitches pennies through the land
he is a bastard through and through

two of us

two of us

easy now, it's just the two of us
let's go slow or we'll turn to dust
our shiny nickles will burn and rust
let's take it easy, just the two of us

in the evening, assume the dusk
carries pilgrims through the boom and bust
climb the ghost girl tower if you must
in the end, it's just the two of us

this is a dream so we will surely fly
this ain't our first or only lullabye

in the morning, when the sun comes up
the fog it clears out in a sorry rush
we've on a circle, confirmed to lust
let's pretend it's just the two of us

there will be others, please tell me so
or this heart will be the first to go

too many things to tear us apart
this life it aint no stroll in the park
i'll be here when our number up
just you and me, just the two of us

if i could

if i could

i'd give you everything if i could
i'd buy you diamond rings if i could
i'll be there by your side, day and night, black and white, morning light

i'll pray for our salvation if i should
i'll pray for domination if i should
whatever comes to mind, when it's time, day and night, black and white

i'll shed 1000 skins if you would
shed 1000 skins with me too
we'll be quite the pair
day and night
black and white
all is right

cliche eyes

cliche eyes

angel eyes, pirate eyes, cliche eyes
are on the rise sooner

i won't mind, if your dark eyes, can't make me cry
c'mon and prove it

i see the rhymes
the taste the time
shake and shine
lighting the fuses

fall like bombs that climb
into crazy lines
burns into your fine
angel eyes

all souls be kind
all souls be kind
fall like flies
into pirate eyes

la la living large like the other ones...
but who wants to be like the other ones?
