the moon

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=syVJMaXGfu4&feature=youtu.be

the moon

speaking bout the weather
receding from togetherness
remember, i'll never trade you
for bricks or feathers
sand and the sediment
the workers and the peasants fade through

the plans and the pleasures
words and the measurements
never will remember us fools
they will sieze and they set them
abide them and they bed them
these beautiful women of the moon

my earth was a spherical
amazing come-miracles
craft automatic fork and spoon
and the spirit did arrive
with a cat's keen eyes
and the goddess of the heart it
was seduced

the rocks and scissors
melts the gold and the treasures
remember what makes one human
animal and leather
forms the face of the cleverness
on the bloodless night of the moon

the girls are prominents
with soft spoken dominance
enough is enough is a tune
played for lovesick criminals
who bark out the syllables
keeping their company to one or two

and the wine hits the water
and the sons and the daughters
remember what it's like to be a fool
it's all animal and mineral
and sky-sick cynical
bloodless lights of the moon

we are lost like the children
only mothers can envision
in the cardboard county of the room
where the circles arrive
and the black doves dive
and the deep sea fishing lines are loosed

thrown like a pebble
at the dark door of hell
and patriots and crosses mark the tombs
all of our seasick courage
and our right brain worry
scattered like the dust upon the moon

my marie 5 d sharp

These 4 walls mean everything to me
Touching the sky is a breeze
I’m  held in your arms, I am free
And the best of it all is a dream

Men have confessed this disease
Christmas this year will be green
Nothing is just what it seems
My marie, my marie, my marie

I’ve counted the tears and the sighs
How could it be other wise?
We smile, but o great lord our cries
Unto thee the soul will arise
Beneath our sore feet, the long mile
And the dirt and the clay it is vile
We wear a mask of grins and lies
And pay a debt of human guile
The poor and the weak take their chance
For a glass and a song and a dance
Stumble and fall from the blow
While the vultures feast on the marrow
I have not got long to live dear
But who now will argue on appearance
For now I am sturdy and able
The pick of the gentelmans stable

oblivion

oblivion

voices in my head
through thick and thin
falling into oblivion-to
give this day or two alone and then
that's it

there she sits
across the wind
she is lifted into sin to
giving recreation pain to
that could kill him

She is here and there and everywhere
oblivion

a ship of death
comes again
cut my hair, bruise my skin
all without and all within
oblivion

is it this?
or illusion?
a little higher, there...the dawn
completely gone, utterly gone
oblivion

She is here and there and everywhere
oblivion

every come what may
till the breaks of days
oils anoint you, linaments
prove harsh defenders
to the angels of....oblivion

we're all tagged and tired
non money down required
i'm not afraid, the debt gets paid
on judgement day, at least that's
what some say
and john's on fire

She is here and there and everywhere
oblivion

riots forms deceased
a cut lack of sleep
here's a minute for you Lord
here's a biblical name for boys
celestial calls

the final blows
will go straight to video
on the streets, the saints you greet
will make the case for the complete
oblivion

She is here and there and everywhere
oblivion

mockingbird

i'm a mockingbird
i'm a mocking bird
with a thought preserved
and the razor word
with a demons thirst
and the saints reserve
i'm a mocking bird
a mocking bird
she's a hollow bird
she's a hollow bird
will the saints preserve
all these friends of hers
that skim the night and force the girls
with hollow words of a mocking bird
he's wide awake in a sleepy town
he's rising up and she's going down
throw high the rains into the sounds
of hired guns in a sleepy town
she's six for seven, placed to win
she's a queen with heaven washed with sin
simulations cracked within
soul corrections in the mist
in elastic traced for miles
out of style, single file
angels walk with holding smiles
pacing out forgotten miles
son of god will meet ya there
without a thought without a care
and in the end we're ashes dear
i'm hearing he might meet us there
overtake the lucky ones
who possess the golden guns
silver bullets crack the sun
and leave behind us lucky ones
mockingbirds
we're mockingbirds
we're bound together with these words
gospel tracts and facts reserved
for mockingbirds
for mockingbirds

God, don't be mad

Oh, God be praised
Hail
Lord is raised
low down down come the rains
rocks and triggers
scissors in the way

wake up
there's a fire
and here is life again
oh sweet life again
life it spins
another chance
into the glory of God
deep into the water

if i fell into my life again
will my life it spins
into the morning
and if i fell into my life again
and i am born again
this time i wake up
i'll be soaring

God don't be mad
i promise we are all coming back
your audience is strong
the lobby it is boring
nothing going on out there
expensive watered down beer

if i fell into my life again
will my life it spins
into the morning
and if i fell into my life again
and i am born again
this time i wake up
i'll be soaring

blow out the candles

don't be the martyr that i sing in this tune
who plays out the clown and plays the buffon
changing my skin as the sky changes blue
silly old scales that are timeless and used

plastic sane porters and looking glass shoes
she wears on her hair fine lights from the moon
kneel on the saddle and ride towards the womb
each one elected, selected for grooms

eyes that seek something, that seek out the wind
and troubles the company out of the sin
lonely and helpless we'll see you again
simple and twisted my silly old friend

checking and changing our way to the front
won't give it on over and won't give it up
not for the money laid down to the ground
not for the blood that's been shed all around

i can't spell it, the thought they aren't mine
my faces they flinch at the portraits in time
verily keeping both eyes to the moon
waxing and waning on diamonds like you

and i wish i could take it all on at one

blow out the candles
blow out the candles
by mid-july, no reason to try
winds will blow it all out to sea

blow out the candles
blow out the candles
middle december
always remember
the dangerous changes
blowing back to me

curtains are slapping the oiled wood
signal the end of the show
a sould re-arranged
the drawing and painting
that hang on the museum walls

nothing can train one for this kind of thing
a fright beyond all that we know
it whispers and sneers, and interferes
with our movement our ebb and our flow

and i wish i could take it all on at one

blow out the candles
blow out the candles
by mid-july, no reason to try
winds will blow it all out to sea

blow out the candles
blow out the candles
middle december
always remember
the dangerous changes
blowing back to me
